Exploring the Science of Telepathy: Is It Real or Just a Myth?

The other night, I dreamed I was grocery shopping with my bestie. In the dream, we were discussing a topic I had prayed about just that very night. I had asked for an answer, and she was answering my question. When I woke up, I wrote the dream into my journal, a little annoyed at the answer I had gotten. I didn’t think about it for the rest of the day, and due to busy schedules, neither of us talked to each other until that night. When she finally had time to reply to my Marco Polo that evening, I was surprised to find she had also dreamed about me that night! However, I shouldn’t have been shocked. What I was experiencing had happened before. She and I are so connected that when one of us is going through a challenge, the other often goes through it in a similar way a few days later. Once, I had a minor car accident. Later that week, she got a flat tire. Another time, her most annoying child threw up all over her room. The next day, mine came down with a nasty cough and got the whole family sick. All of these are examples of our connection that is real yet unexplainable through physical and scientific understanding alone.

Signs of Telepathic Communication

Our shared dream experience was an example of telepathy, and in addition, a way for God to communicate with me through my bestie. Many people have asked the question, is telepathic communication real? One way to answer that question is to look at science. My teacher and author mentor, Cynthia Greer, recently recommended to me a movie named Contact. The 1997 Panavision film co-produced and directed by Robert Zemeckis, was based on the 1985 novel by Carl Sagan. This movie gave me some additional insight into this concept, but since I am not a scientist, the simplest way to explain it may be through quantum entanglement, explained by NASA as “the idea that particles of the same origin, which were once connected, always stay connected” (2024). This concept is further explained by stating “Even if they separate and move far apart in time and space, they continue to share something beyond a mere bond — they shed their original quantum states and take on a new, united quantum state which they maintain forever. This means if something happens to one particle, it affects all the others with which it’s entangled.” Now, if that felt a little too scientific, that’s okay. I got a C in biology, preferring to write papers that came from the heart, over dissecting animals and performing experiments. To understand just how real telepathy, 5 d communication, and unexplainable soul level connections are, we just have to look at everyday experiences. Take, for example, that time you were thinking of a friend you hadn’t talked to in a while, only to look at your phone and find they had text or called you. This was more than coincidence. This was telepathy at work. This was communication in a very real way.

Another example leads me back to talking about dreams. Have you ever had a dream about a loved one who has passed away, and wondered if it meant they were actually communicating with you? Maybe you have imagined you smelled their perfume, or seen a person in a crowd, who looked just like your deceased grandma, although you told yourself that you had imagined it. No, friend, that was real. Was it your grandma, come back in ghost form? Possibly, but the more likely explanation is that her spirit wanted to remind you of her presence in your 3-d life, and thus you walked past someone who resembled her. This, again exemplifies 5-d connection. If, in theory, your grandmas spirit inspired the look-a-like woman to go to that crowd on that day in order to show you her presence, that could have only happened through divine intervention, or 5-d connection. If it was more than coincidence that you both ended up in that crowd on that day at that time, this is all the proof you need, not only that your grandma’s spirit was communicating with you, but also that 5-d connection exists and played a role in that woman going there at the same time you did.

Telepathy In Everyday Life

What I am trying to convey, is that these experiences are not some out-there concept for scientists and crazy people. These experiences have happened to most of us, whether or not we have acknowledged them. Back to my bestie. What if we both knew we were meant to be soul sisters at the beginning of this lifetime, or to take it a step farther, have had multiple lifetimes in which we were connected? Because of this connection being so long standing, it would make sense that we can communicate telepathically.

Telepathy in love is also very real, although that’s not the highlight of this entry. Have you ever seen those couples who communicate everything through eye contact? They seem to share thoughts, being able to finish one another’s sentences? The couples who knew each other on day one, they instantly sensed a profound connection and desire to be together, a magnetic pull that had always existed to find one another. Even the couple who always fights and yet they are always magnetized back to one another no matter how illogical it seems. This isn’t coincidence. These couples were truly destined to be together, since the beginning of time. Their physical bodies may not have consciously recognized it immediately, but at a soul level, they both knew the connection existed, and had existed since the beginning of time.

On a more mundane level, my kids do this on purpose. In order to find additional ways to fight, they magically know when the other one needs to use the bathroom. In fact, they pick this exact time to need desperately to go, just so they can fight over the one toilet in the house! How else could this be explained? There is always a reason to fight when you are siblings, and siblings are not exempt from experiencing telepathic communication.

What Does Experiencing Telepathic Communication Mean?

If you have experienced any of these examples in life, or maybe in a love connection specifically, you may be wondering why these things happen. I think the short answer, is to get our attention. The fact that you have experienced things like this is significant. If you are tuned in enough to look at your dreams and see they have meaning, or look at the connection with your bestie and realize it was destined, you are well on your way to realizing that the divine wants an individual relationship with you. All of these things are happening so that you can see God’s love and devotion to your own situation. They are taking place so that you can understand not only the fundamental connection that all of us have with one another, but also that you are infinitely supported.

Journal. Acknowledge these emerging senses within you. Write down these experiences. They will become stronger and the more you listen, the more you will be shown!
